Attraction Description: The USS Constitution also know as "Old Ironsides," is docked in the Charlestown Navy Yard. It is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat in the world. You can tour the Ship from April to September, admission is free. If you are lucky enough to be in town in the summer you might see it taken out for a turn in the Boston Harbor. Be sure to visit The USS Constitution Museum, located steps away. Visitors can participate in a number of hands on interactive activities as they learn more about Old Ironsides history. Swing in a hammock, raise a sail or fire a cannon. Kids will love this and might even learn something. Admission is free - Donations accepted at the door. Be sure to stop in the museum shop on the way out.
