Downtown Boston Hotel Guide MapDowntown Boston is a great place to stay if you want to be in the historic heart of the city. Stay near Faneuil Hall and you can be within steps to tons of Restaurants and Bars. Just North of Faneuil Hall in the Blackstone Area of Boston is the popular Millennium Hotel, known for it's elegance and luxury. The rooms have balconies that open up to city outside, and the hotel is within walking distance to the North End. Other cheaper options nearby are the Harborside INN - situated in a renovated 1800's warehouse building. The Marriott Custom House offers larger rooms with separate living and sleeping areas. A good choice for a longer stay where you need to spread out and don't want to feel like you are staying in a hotel. Move South into the Financial District across from Post Office Square is the Langham Hotel - the building is the old federal reserve bank, now a luxury European style hotel. In the summer it's great to step out onto Post Office Square and enjoy lunch on the green at the Milk Street Cafe. Don't be fooled by the 20's exterior of the Hilton, the inside has been completely renovated and is fabulous. Many of the rooms have great harbor view. Closer to the Boston Common is the Historic Parker House Hotel, if you want old world charm then this is for you. The Parker house is located right on the Freedom Trail.
