Hang 10 at The Reef and wax up for a totally tubular “Live Blue” fashion show and Finally Summer Beach Party.

Surf’s up at 5:30 p.m. with free appetizers until 6:30 p.m., and cool drinks, giveaways, and live music all night long. Enter raffles to win Reef flip flops, loaded goody bags, gift certificates and free tickets to the New England Aquarium.

Last year’s board shorts are boring. Take a fashion tip from local boutique, Boston’s Sun Spot located in Faneuil Hall: Reef apparel and organic cotton threads are where it’s at this summer. Reusable, eco-friendly tote bags make any outfit rad. The “Live Blue” fashion show kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with Mix 98.5 spinning tunes, and Fashion Boston contributor and Boldfacers.com creator Lisa Pierpont serving as emcee.

Located on the New England Aquarium plaza, just off Atlantic Avenue, The Reef is within easy walking distance from anywhere in downtown Boston. The Reef offers diners family-friendly fare and fabulous views of historic Boston Harbor. After 4 p.m., it transforms into one of the city’s coolest spots on hot summer nights. Complete with XM radio and two flat screen televisions, social hipsters and sports fans alike can enjoy what’s best about Boston summers – suds, the Sox, salty air, and snacks.
