Brandeis University presents the 8th Annual Brandeis in the Berkshires Lecture Series. The five-part speaker series will feature renowned Brandeis faculty, leading experts and authors who will discuss contemporary topics including American politics, the state of the economy and Israel and Jewish life. The lectures series will be held on the following Sundays; June 28, July 12, July 26, August 2 and August 16, at 8 p.m. at Shakespeare & Company, 70 Kemble Street, Lenox, Mass. Marc Brettler, the Dora Golding Professor of Biblical Studies at Brandeis University will reveal the connections between The Bible and American Public Life.

August 2nd
Elayne Bernstein Theatre, Shakespeare & Company
Lisa Lynch, Dean and professor of economics at The Heller School at Brandeis University, will be joined by Bruce Magid, Dean of the International Business School at Brandeis University and former managing director and senior vice president at Bank of America to discuss the State of the Economy.

August 16th
Elayne Bernstein Theatre, Shakespeare & Company
James Carroll, award-winning author and Boston Globe columnist will discuss, Catastrophe Means Turning Point. A book signing will take place following the lecture. Copies of his latest book “Practicing Catholic” will be available for purchase.
