Free architectural and art tours are given Sunday 2:00 p.m., Monday 2:30 p.m., Tuesday 6:00 p.m., Thursday 6:00 p.m., Friday 11:00 a.m., and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The Freedom Trail is the best known attraction in Boston, almost all of the attractions on this historic walk are free of charge including the USS Constitution, Old North Church, and Bunker Hill Monument. The free 30 minute tour of the Mass State House is highly recommended, and features historic artwork and statutes. Free historical tours of the Boston Custom House are available Monday – Thursday at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Friday Saturday at 4 p.m.

Boston Museums on a Budget
Take advantage of Museum Special Rates. At the Harvard University Art Museums which includes, The Fogg Museum, Arthur Sackler Museum, and The Busch-Reisinger Museum are Free on Saturdays until noon. Friday Nights at the Children’s Museum is only a buck from 5 PM to 9 PM. In Back Bay Area the Museum of Fine Arts has a Pay-what-you-wish on Wednesdays after 4 PM. Nearby the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, $2.00 off for anyone wearing Red Sox gear. The Institute of Contemporary Art has free admission on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. In Beacon Hill, the Museum of Afro-American History in Boston is always free.
