You can walk along most of the Harbor - all areas opened to the public (Boston Harbor Walk). The walk is marked very well with signs so it's easy to pick it up once you get in the general area. From Long Wharf you can grab the MBTA Water Shuttle over to the USS Constitution and Charlestown Navy Yard. Down a little near the Boston Harbor Hotel you will find the dock for the commuter Ferry to Logan Airport. If you have children be sure to make your way down to the Children's Museum - easy to find since there is a giant bottle of Hoods milk outside.
